At Minebase, we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.
What information do we collect?
Minebase (“Minebase”, “we” or “us”) collects:
(a) the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email;
(b) aggregate information about which pages users access or visit;
(c) information provided by the user (such as. survey data and/or website registrations);
(d) information related to your use of the website and/or mobile application, including IP address, device ID, geographic location, and the date and time of your request;
(e) any other information you may voluntarily provide.
We may also collect your email address and Wallet ID if you choose to register your Wallet address.
How do we use the information?
Minebase uses the information collected for the following purposes described below.
1. To perform a contract or take related steps, such as processing your registration on our website or sending you information about changes to our terms or policies.
2. When necessary for purposes that are in Minebase’s legitimate interest, such as:
(a) to provide the information or content you request;
(b) to inform you about our programs, products, features, or services;
(c) to improve our services and for internal business purposes, such as identification and authentication or customer service, portfolio tracking, and synchronizing user preferences between devices;
(d) to maintain the security of our website by attempting to prevent unauthorized or malicious activity;
(f) to assist other organizations (e.g., copyright holders) in enforcing their rights;
(g) to tailor content, advertisements, and offers to you or for other purposes specified at the time of collection.
If you do not wish to receive marketing information about our programs, products, features, or services, you may opt out of receiving marketing communications.
When you give us your consent, such as:
(a) when you ask us to send you marketing information through a medium for which we need your consent, including notifications through mobile push notifications;
(b) when you give us your consent to set cookies and use similar technologies;
(c) on other occasions when we ask for your consent for any other purpose that may arise.
When we are required to do so by law. We may also provide access to your personal information when required by law to cooperate with police investigations or another legal process, to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website, to limit our legal liability and protect our rights, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the visitors to the website or the general public. In these cases, the information is provided only for this purpose.
How do we share your information?
We do not sell your personal information to other organizations for commercial purposes. In addition, we only share your personal information to provide the products or services you request when we have your permission or under the following circumstances described below.
We make such information available to third parties who have entered into confidentiality agreements with us.
We may aggregate, anonymize and publish data solely for statistical and research purposes. For example, we may aggregate and share information on the popularity of certain products tracked by users. In this case, the information cannot be traced back to an individual.
We take precautions to ensure the security of your personal information. We ensure that our website is protected by appropriate state-of-the-art security measures and that all our data hosts and servers are similarly protected by such security measures, including but not limited to firewalls. We strongly recommend changing your password frequently and not using the same password for different websites.
Retention of your personal information
We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18. Children 17 years of age or younger should not submit personal information without the permission of their parent or guardian. By using the Minebase Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Rights of EU and EEA users
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you generally have the right to access, rectify, download or erase your data, as well as the right to restrict and object to certain processing of your data. Some of these rights generally apply, while certain rights only apply in certain limited circumstances. We will briefly describe these rights below.
You have the right to access your personal data and, if necessary, have it changed, deleted, or restricted. In certain cases, you also have the right to the portability of your data. You can also request that we not send you marketing communications or use your personal data if we are profiling for direct marketing purposes. You may opt-out of receiving email newsletters and other marketing communications by following the instructions included in those emails. Transactional account messages will not be affected, even if you opt-out of marketing communications.
If you wish to complain about our use of your data (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to contact your local supervisory authority. However, we hope to be able to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about our use of your personal data.
